Prelab Exercise 3 NERVE TISSUE
ثبت نشده
چکیده
Nerve tissue, particularly that comprising the central nervous system (CNS, i.e., brain and spinal cord) is amazingly complex in organization as well as function. Therefore, only a few selected regions will be examined in this lab (they will be investigated in more detail later, in the neuroscience course). In this laboratory session you will also have time to study examples of nerve tissue from the peripheral nervous system (PNS).

THE EFFECT OF AEROBIC TRAINING AND INTAKE OF L-CARNITINE ON PROTEIN LEVEL OF HIPPOCAMPUS CNTF AND CNTFR IN DIABETIC RATS
Background: Diabetes causes nerve tissue damage and ultimately death of nerve cells, especially in important areas such as the hippocampus. It seems that exercise training and anti-inflammatory supplements can moderate this condition. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of aerobic training exercise and L-carnitine consumption on the levels of hippocampus CNTF and CNTFR ...
متن کاملThe Effect of one Course of Swimming Exercise before Induction of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on Nerve Growth Factor Levels in Rat’s Brain
Background and Aim: Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease with unknown etiology in the nervous system. However, exercise routinely for these patients is beneficial, but the effect of pretreatment swimming exercise in this disease has not been fixed. Therefore, the aim of these study was to investigate pretreatment effect of swimming exercise on NGF levels in female Lewis rats wit...
متن کاملSummary and Expected Results for the Mirrors Hardware Lab
Prelab The students begin with a prelab, where they examine the layout of the different circuit blocks. The students hypothesize which subcircuit will provide the best performance in each circuit block. They are also asked to explain their ranking to encourage the students to think about the effects of layout on matching. Experimental results may not exactly match the students’ predictions, but...

Objective: The aim of present study was to evaluate the effects of oral administration of gallic acid (GA) for 21 days alone and in combination with exercise on nerve conduction velocity and sensory and motor functions in rats with sciatic nerve crush. Materials and Methods: Seventy adult male Wistar rats (250-300 g) were divided randomly into 7 groups with 10 in each: 1) Control (Cont), 2) Cru...
